“I was
caught up in the presence of the Lord and experienced His anger over abortion. To my surprise His anger was directed
at the church and not the heathen.
He declared that if the church had not aborted the spiritual seeds
that He had planted in her, for missions, outreaches and even the simple witness to our neighbours, then the heathen would
not be living in such darkness and would not be aborting their natural seed. He said that the church was aborting His
spiritual seed for all of the same reasons that the heathen were aborting their unborn – because of our selfishness,
because these ‘children’ would be expensive and we did not think we could afford them, because we did not want
to give them our time.
He affirmed that judgment would come upon our country because of
the evil of abortion, but that He was going to start with His own household first.”
The following
was on the wall of the Orewa Prayer Room (writer unknown):
“If there is split blood not atoned
for on the ground of this nation and revival comes, it will result in judgment….consider all the abortions, all the
voices silenced…..Don’t think you are innocent because you have not had an abortion. Those who have, and
the children aborted, are your tribe, your nation.”
Asher Intrator, a Messianic
Jew in Israel
“The primary base of ancient idolatry was sexual immorality. (The same may be
said of modern idolatry.) The ‘problem’ with sexual immorality is that it produces ‘unwanted’
pregnancies. The unwanted children must be done away with somehow. Thus ritual child murder was the ‘spiritual’
result of immorality.
The parallel to abortion is obvious. No one ‘wants’ to have an abortion.
It’s that lust demands sexual immorality, which produces unwanted babies. Then there is the ‘awkward’
problem of getting rid of those ‘bothersome little things.’
We need a massive turning of
the hearts of the parents back toward love and faithfulness to our children. This is exactly what was prophesied that the
spirit of Elijah would do in the end times. (see Malachi 4:5-6)
At this year’s national
youth conference, ‘One Thing’, in Israel, I got down on my knees on the platform and asked the young generation
to forgive us for our sins as the parental generation. We asked the Spirit of God to bring restoration and healing of
the generations as part of the end-times revival.”
Father Frank Pavone, National
Director Priests for Life, Canada:
“Abortion will end when local communities say it will end
– no sooner, no later. We have the power to stop abortion, even while it remains legal.”
Lou Engle, President of The Call, USA
“We have fought the battle for the ending of abortion in politics,
in the press, on the ground, and in every way. But prayer and fasting is the most powerful weapon in the arsenal of
the church to bring forth social justice. It affects the unseen world where spiritual powers release destructive ideologies.
We appeal to the Supreme Court of Heaven.”
Mother Teresa said:
“Abortion is the source
of violence in the world”.
