Beverley reports from Masterton re 18th Nov: On the 18th, the final day of the 40 day fast, seven of us gathered
to declare the final declaration. Two of us decided to climb Bennett’s Hill, a local hill which overlooks Masterton and a good deal
of the valley. This was a half hour climb almost to the top and we reached there just two minutes to 8pm.
The weather had turned southerly, and it had rained in the late afternoon. However, by evening the
rain had stopped and it was still cloudy. When we got round to the westerly facing side of the hill the sky was a bright orange.
We started praying the declaration and a streak of sky opened up between the clouds and the sun shone brilliantly through
on to our faces. Exactly as we finished the last word of the declaration, the sun disappeared again behind
the clouds. It was mighty. We also prayed for the other towns down through the Wairarapa. We made our way back to the
bottom of the hill, and just got back into the car at 9pm as the light failed. The other group, who for various reasons couldn’t do the big climb, drove to another vantage
point which was also to the east of Masterton. As they turned a corner coming down the hill, the sun caught
a huge tree in its rays, and totally lit up the tree. They were amazed and felt that was God’s sign,
a bit like Moses’ ‘burning bush’. Anerdy
from Rotorua wrote: I went up a high place in Bronswick on the 18th Nov, where I could see some parts of Rotorua and the centre
of the city, and made the declaration. I then spent the rest of the hour driving along the streets praying.
It was just so wonderful to talk to the Lord as I drove and sensed His presence with me. What a
mighty God we serve! Pam from
Wanganui: Four
of us went up Durie Hill. Some others declared the declaration in their own home. We spent some time in worship, spoke out
the declaration and blew our one whistle and three shofars. The Wanganui River was flowing and looked silver as the sun set. It
seemed as though the river was washing away the past sins and was flowing into homes bringing life and healing to the city.
The Lord gave us Ps 113:3 “From the rising of the sun….”’ We felt the presence of the
Lord very powerfully and His pleasure with what His children had done across the nation. Adrian and his son climbed Mt Kau Kau, Wellington: To see a dramatic photo of the shofar being blown

Two prayers
for John Key: From Gizella: John Key’s mother was an Austrian Jew who escaped to England during WW2. When I saw him on
TV I prayed and called forth is Jewish heritage. How can a Jew not believe in Almighty God.
Spiritual depth is inherent in every part of their being. I have met a few Hungarian Jews and they
are very God believing. His rightful, rich, spiritual inheritance needs to be awakened by prayer. Never underestimate the power
of bloodlines. We will be blessed by our country’s leader being half Jewish. From Lorraine: On Sunday after the elections I sensed to pray and
encourage other believers as follows: Thank you Father, that you have given us in a new Prime Minister, a Jewish boy, who knows about you, as
the God of Abraham, the God of Issac and the God of Jacob. Please reveal to him that you are also the God
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ex 3:15, Matt 11:25-27 Two prophetic words: (1) Forwarded from joycelist2 by Bernard Moran “Repent, repent, repent. The justice of God is descending upon the world. Woe to the inhabitants of
the earth who have refused to obey my commandments (the first two commandments from which all the commandments come).
You will reap what you sow. My justice will not be satisfied until the world is cleansed of its filth. Then will a new heavens
and a new earth come. My justice is descending. My justice is descending. My justice is descending. Abortion will not be allowed
to continue. I
will destroy this abomination Time has run out. The world will now pay the debt it owes to divine justice. You just God, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.” (2) from Helen: I saw a picture of a scapel over an elderly person in a wheelchair.
If the enemy can’t have the babies aborted he will have the elderly. Is 31:2b “He will rise up against
the house of the wicked, against those who help evildoers” with abortion and euthanasia. His right
hand is poised to strike. He will smite NZ with an iron rod regarding her wickedness.” Carolynn – building on 10th
Oct (see bottom of page): On Oct 10th I sent a prayer report of a new dawn. Last Friday night I was at our church conference and we
were shown a DVD of a man waking up one morning then deciding to leave where he was. He started running
towards the beach where he saw many others looking out towards the dawn, looking with expectation. As the
sun rose it ‘dawned’ on me that it was exactly what I had seen in my vision on Oct 10th. Our leader, who was doing
the teaching, started talking about ‘new beginnings, tide turning, new life, and a new day dawning’, all of which
had nothing to do with abortion, but the message from the Lord was the same. On Sunday morning after the election, I woke with the sun streaming in my room
and as we live right on the beach I remembered the DVD from the other night. The Lord declared to me, “this
is a new dawn, new beginnings, new life.” Excitement rose up within me. I believe we are to expect all that God is
going to do and to know that He has placed people strategically in place for His work to be done. From Matamata, 7th Nov: The 40 days prayer focus and
the daily prayers have given me focus again and new purpose which I needed. This morning I got up for my early morning slot and after praying today’s
prayer I got out a song book and it was amazing how the songs just flowed together. I haven’t done
this for too long. As I listened a little bird was joining in with his morning song. The words of the following song are from
a tape called First Love, a tape I have had for a long time. The words seemed appropriate for this time. I hear a young child crying and see tears
of unending pain I’ve
watched as war torn nations treated life with such distain My heart grieves, to know that these haven’t come to understand That I’ve suffered for
their suffering and died that they may live again So, take my healing to the nations, bind their broken hearts with love Stretch my hand throughout creation with this
message of my love That
I came to bring light in the darkness, to bring joy where there once was pain Take my healing to the nations with love For the fields are ready for harvest, and the labourers they’re so few Countless millions still that
I want to fill, but the task isn’t mine to do I gave them my commandment, go and preach good tidings of love For I finished the work on Calvary and their healings
already been done. From MC: It is so great to see the
map all covered. We are always so grateful to be part of that network. We have been very isolated up to now and we pray
that the network will continue to go on after the abortion issue 40 days is finished. Every day I pray for the women (in the towns I have signed up for and adopted)
that have discovered they are pregnant. - For the ones who are ‘over the moon’
about their pregnancy, that they will be able to keep up that mood and nurture their babe with deep love.
- For those who are afraid,
that the Lord will minister to them, even if they don’t know Him and that He will put on their path the right friend
who will care, carry them through and love them to the end, etc.
- For those who don’t want the pregnancy, that
God in an act of His sovereignty, will put the right person on their path to help them keep that babe, etc.
Steve from Dunedin reports: On 4th Nov we had our first prayer meeting with 12 gathered. We declared God’s
Genesis plan, then moved to a time of confession and repentance using some of the daily prayers from the 40 days prayer booklet. Our faith
action was to blow forth the Holy Spirit as a Kiss is blown, to all out there who need God’s comfort, strength, love,
truth and revelation, to bring about God fearing responses, honour to the life of the unborn, for these ones to be born to
the glory of God. We prayed for comfort to all who grieve.
Prayer around Genesis One from Sue, Hamilton ~ 28 Oct: Each day corresponds to one week of the fast. Day 1: In the beginning. I
welcomed the Holy Spirit to hover afresh over NZ, over the abortion issue, all those involved in the 40 days, over Hamilton
and the towns I had adopted, over the whole Body of Christ – over EVERYTHING that is formless and empty (of understanding
re abortion) an dark, over the surface of the deep misunderstanding re abortion that exists in NZ. Into, and over, this darkness may God speak
His light that will illuminate and even shock people into reality and truth and move millions in NZ from darkness to light
as a paradigm shift occurs. Like the first day, this is the first thing that needs to occur. We did this in part during our
first week of prayer and fasting. Day 2:
A separation occurred and an expanse was made called sky/heavens. Let there be an open heaven over
NZ and direct heavenly intervention and communication that’s heard and understood by man re the abortion issue. Day 3: The waters gathered to one
place. Land appeared, tender vegetation, trees, seeds, and fruit according to their kind. We are gathering the water of the
Word into one place – as the sword of the Word directed at abortion. We are planting tender trees
of righteousness and justice on this newly formed land through our prayers and prophetic intercession that will bear seeds
and fruit according to their kind. May God surround this with the seas of His love and glory so the earth
will be filled with the knowledge of His glory as the waters cover the sea. (Hab 2:14) Day 4: The separation of day from night.
Lights were placed in the heavens to give light to the earth, to govern and to separate light from darkness.
The Body of Christ, the Bride, has these roles and needs to be firmly set in place, in true relationship to The Light
of the World. Day 5:
The waters teemed with life and birds increased over the earth. May there be a tangible increase
of spiritual life over, and on, NZ, representing the Holy Spirit’s presence and activity, visible, beautiful as birds
are as they soar and catch the wind’s current; every winged bird i.e. all the facets of the Spirit. Let
this happen during the 5th week of the fast! Day 6: The land was stocked with animals and God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit)
created man in His image and likeness. NIV note v26 “Since man is made in God’s image every
human being is worthy of honour and respect. He is neither to be murdered nor cursed. Image
includes such characteristics as righteousness, holiness and knowledge. Believers are to be conformed to
the likeness of Christ and will someday be like Him.” Man was formed to be fruitful, to increase in number, to fill the earth, to
subdue it, to rule and have dominion. NIV note v28 “This is His divine benediction, sharing
as God’s servants in God’s kingly rule. As God’s representative in the creaturely realm,
he is steward of God’s creatures. He is not to exploit, waste or despoil them (including the unborn
humans), but to care for them and use them in the service of God and man.” During the last week of our 40 days may we move with confidence
into these roles and concepts and may they be established permanently in the Body of Christ, in NZ, regarding the abortion
issue. Day 7: A season of
rest as we seek the Lord about the next step.
A prophetic word from Bob: (This was received 9th Oct, the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur, the day before the ‘trumpet
call’ for 40 days prayer and fasting went across our nation regarding the abortion issue.) “This is a word for the women of New Zealand.
I truly love this land of mine – and long to bless you. I have put you in this land to be
fruitful and multiply. I give you the precious gift of life. However if you purpose
in your hearts to kill my children, I shut your wombs; you are barren, liken unto Hannah. Nevertheless, I say, if you repent and afflict
yourselves, return to me with all your hearts, I will open your wombs. I am the Lord your God. Furthermore, to the doctors and nurses who are engaged in taking the lives of
my children, I say, repent and turn from death to life. Cease killing and pursue healing. I am the Lord your God. That is all I have to say.” A brother sent the following prophetic word to Adrian
Watts, printed 23rd Oct, in his email letter: “Even as abortion is rife in this land, even so has been the life-giving
moves I have sought to bring to birth been killed before its time by its Church mother. Even as illegitimacy is rife in this land, even so
are the number of moves created by the lusts of men. Pray that My churches will no longer abort the life that I start. And pray that
what is birthed in the Churches will be from those wedded to Me.”
From Huntly – 23rd October: Last Sunday was talking with a woman in the church. She was
sharing about the difficult pregnancy of her daughter-in-law, who was on the verge of a nervous breakdown and not feeling
she could cope with another baby. She is contemplating an abortion and the appointment was already
made for this coming Friday. (24th) I encourage her and prayed with her. Then Monday morning (20th) in the 40 days prayer booklet “pray
for women who are pregnant”. I can’t quite express how I felt, how God had brought to my attention
the need of this young mother. At the end of my praying I felt peace. I knew God was
at work. So often
when I pray I feel it is not just for that particular situation but on a much wider scale. I feel so excited
to be a part of this. Miriam from Taupo – 17th
October: We
had a really good church prayer meeting covering immorality, addictions and abortion. There is no abortion
clinic in Taupo so no abortions are carried out. Everyone who wants one has to go out of town.
This is due to Christian doctors, one in particular. Interesting: the very first doctor in Taupo had an addiction to drugs and alcohol
and lived in the street that has the worst drug and alcohol problem today. It is worth finding out the
foundation of the town.
Prayer
in Hamilton – 17 Oct: After
reading Psalm 106:28-48 and praying about several verses we focused on v29-31. “They provoked the Lord to anger by their wicked deeds, and a plague broke
out among them. But Phinehas stood up and intervened, and the plague was checked. This
was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.” Numbers 25:1-13 records the story of Phinehas, a priest, son of Eleazar, the son
of Aaron, who
left the assembly and dealt decisively with the blatant sin of an Israelite man, by driving his spear right through both him
and the Midianite woman he had brought into the camp. “Then the plague against the Israelites stopped,
but those who died in the plague numbered 24,000.” (Our abortion figure is edging towards this.) We compared this with the 40 days.
We are rising up from the congregation regarding these 40 days focus on abortion which is a blatant sin.
Phinehas took decisive action with his spear. This compared with our prayer; God wants to teach us how to thrust our
spear into the abortion issue so it is killed off and the plague stopped. He is wanting to sharpen us so
we are more effective. We sensed the hand of Jesus, our Great High Priest, around us, holding us firm and
directing us as a “holy priesthood” (1 Pet 2:5). We prayed about the above and that those involved in the 40 days would have the
spirit of Phinehas, who turned God’s anger away and was zealous for God’s honour among the people. A Song The Lord Gave Gillian – 17 Oct: Run to the mercy seat, run to the mercy seat, Hold on to the horns of the
altar, hold on to the horns of the altar, Cry out for mercy, cry out for mercy, for the healing of the land. The blood runs like a river, the blood runs like a river Push back the flow, Push back
the flow, For
the healing of our land. Hear
the voice of the children, hear the voice of the children, Crying out for justice, crying out for justice, For the healing of our land. Repeat first verse. Hawkes Bay Prayer Group – 15 October:
Our prayer meeting is primarily to pray for revival
but during the 40 days we are making prayer for abortion the primary part.
We started with the scriptures from the prayer booklet for the 14th
Oct. Isaiah 25:7-9 especially spoke to us and the reference to the shroud that covers the nations also
spoke to us. We
were convicted of the sorrowful state of the churches in NZ, where the standards of God’s righteousness is rarely held
up and therefore the recognition and conviction of our sins are veiled over. We identified with Daniel’s
prayer of confession and acknowledged our collective and individual shame. “The Church is trampled
on by men”, and this leads to its silence on abortion and related issues. These thoughts were also tempered with the words of Psalm 103:8-14 and the wisdom
in Proverbs 16. We
believe that on the issue of abortion we are beginning to be drawn to wrestle with root causes – both in the spirit
realm and in the realm of man’s sin. We therefore prayed for unity and unification of the prayer
groups involved in the 40 days.
4 praying each week for Leeston (near
Christchurch) – 15 October:
We prayed about the sexual education
in schools of the area and the effect it must have on early pregnancies leading to abortion.
Christine, Warkworth – 13 October:
Our prayer group is
meeting Monday afternoons.
Heb 10:19-25 We come confidently to God during these 40 days, entering through the blood of Jesus. We are encouraged to draw near, to be sincere
and to have faith in God that our prayers are heard and will be answered; to keep persevering, to spur each other on and encourage
each other to love those who are suffering, to not give up meeting together to pray and to pray for each other.
From Dunedin Tania wrote –
11 October:
I want to share the Father’s heart with a scripture and a declaration, revealed on the first evening of
prayer and fasting.
Isaiah 12:1-2 brings an encouragement to the broken to trust in the Lord and not be afraid for the day is coming when
all will sing a new song. Declare: a day is coming when _____________________ will sing ‘We praise you Lord, for you were angry with us,
but now you comfort us and are angry no longer. God is our Saviour, we will trust Him and not be afraid.
The Lord gives us power and strength. He is our Saviour.’ (Insert in the gap, one at a time: The women
who have aborted, the expectant mothers, the medical professionals, the law makers.)
Carolynn – 10 October:
While praying by myself I sensed the Lord saying
a new day is dawning and what will follow is going to be an awesome ‘day’. I saw a lot of people
looking into the dawn with expectation.
I asked for and received the following scripture – Rev 22:12-17.
“And behold I am coming quickly and
my reward is with me, to give to everyone according to his work. I am the Alpha and Omega, the Beginning
and the End, the First and the Last. Blessed are those who do His commandments that they may have the right to the tree of
life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral
and murderers and idolaters, and whoever love and practices a lie. I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you these
things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.
And the Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’ And let him who hears say, ‘Come!’
And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires let him take the water of life freely. Amen.”
