The

SOME ENCOURAGEMENT!
~
Since Whistle 5 there have been several who have signed up for the Big Aim of 100 cities/towns.
I also encourage you
to fill in the sign up form for your city/town - even if a red heart is there.
~ Nola from Auckland has signed up "10 willing ladies" from her church to fast
and pray!
~ This week I visited
Archbishop David Moxon, who will encourage Anglicans across the nation to be part of these 40 days.
~ Darin, who heads up Student Life at Waikato
Uni, told me his group are praying and fasting next week because they
have exams at the time when the rest of us are involved. It's great to have some forerunners. Let's pray
for them.
~ I have
heard of two congregations who are planning to encourage all their congregation to be involved. Any others????
~ One of the Whistle Team recently had
the following words come to mind, several times: "Rise Up, Awake, Arise".
He felt this was a call to the Body of Christ regarding the 40 days.
This was confirmed by Joan, Auckland - "Rise Up You People of Power".
These words had been on her mind for
several weeks.
I have often heard the word 'apathy' used in relation to NZ. Recently
I read the following quote by David Wilkerson,
posted on
Adrian Watt's Trumpet Call website:
"There is no greater sin than apathy.
Apathy is a by-product of our covetousness.
Apathy demands judgment before any other sin."
Let us not be apathetic, but awake and rise up,
and together pray and fast concerning the Silent Holocaust of abortion
in our nation.
~ The
NZ Catholic paper printed a story about the 40 days.
We
need to acknowledge the continuous pro-life stand the Catholic Church has made over the years, a stand
for righteousness and truth. One Catholic in Hamilton made the plea
"Please do not ignore us (the Catholic
Church)!
We can share our knowledge."
~
The Baptist paper printed a story about Marina Young and her Buttons Project. You can read her Hope story on
our website.
~ Intercessors for NZ are focusing on abortion for their October prayer letter.

THANK YOU to all those
who have promoted the 40 days to their own pastor and/or their local fraternal.
APOLOGIES to all those who got
tired eyes and generally felt worn out by my novice adventures with colour and print
size with the previous Whistle letters. Seems I gained the attention of some, but others turned away!
You will notice
I am a little more subdued this time.
NEW ADDITIONS to our website include:
Adoption Option
Are
You Under 30?
It's Time
to Dance (this is a glimpse of God's heart)
LASTLY: a number of you contacted me when I first began these
email letters expressing your enthusiasm. I did not
keep a list.
(I usually have all sorts of lists!). Could you revisit your 'count me in' email by going on to the our website
and filling out the sign-up box. Then we can put a red heart beside your city/town.
God's richest blessings on all reading this email,
Sue
