ABORTION - 40 days prayer/fasting: 10 Oct - 18 Nov

            THANK YOU

for all the sign ups received over the last few days.

We have people standing in the gap from Bluff to Paihia.

The cup is now 60% full.

There are so many that it will take a few days to enter them all in!

Mike, our www (whistle website worker) was away for several days and spent hours updating the 100 Cities/towns page.  Look at the icons indicating a prayer group and a church involvement. This is the first time he has put together a website.  He has done so well. The rest of the Whistle team are so grateful for all the hours he has spent doing this.

Joan from Auckland wrote:  Today in my prayer meeting we dealt with the vision aborting spirit (see Whistle 7) over our prayer group.  The presence of God was very powerful as we worshipped. The thing is that with the Abortion issue about to start it is going to have far reaching effects, far greater than you can possibly imagine because it is exposing other hidden issues connected with it.

As she prayed, Gillian was reminded of the scripture where the woman who had the flow of blood had to push through the crowd to touch the hem of Jesus' garment.  This woman knew what the hem represented - healing.  Gillian then saw a picture in her mind of a woman at prayer holding a prayer shawl by the corners over the map of NZ and crying out for the stopping of the flow of blood in this nation.

BUT, as with the woman who had the flow of blood, we have to push through - through the

opposition, those just standing by watching the action, the curious ones, and those opposing us.

CANDLE LIGHT VIGILS:

The ones I am aware of (have remembered!) are:

Kawakawa, Masterton, Red Beach, Palmerston North and Whangarei

SOME
GREAT ENCOURAGEMENT!

a sample of some emails received recently:

++   Prayer Hawkes Bay, in conjunction with the pastors' fraternal, have committed to holding several open prayer meetings each week during the 40 days.  Some of these are for extended hours.   One is especially for youth.  All churches in the region have been invited.

++  The pastor of Te Huarahi AOG in Kawakawa preached on the abortion issue lrecently and called the whole church to the 40 days of prayer and fasting.  They plan to light a candle each night for the 40 days.

++  Simmone from Red Beach, Whangapararoa Peninsula is planning a candle light vigil.

++  St Pauls, Feilding have signed up as the whole congregation!  And so have St Matthews, Masterton!!

That's three congregations signed up that I know of. (Are there others?)

++  The John Paul ll Centre, 98 Wallace Rd, Papatoetoe, Auckland is open 9am-4pm Mon-Fri for prayer.

++  Inglewood churches meet to pray each Friday night and will pray about the Abortion issue.

++  From Dunedin:  I'm 18 and saw this (40 days) in my church newsletter.  Abortion is something I disagree with, so I thought I should do something about it.  Can't wait for the 40 days to begin.

++ Gisborne has set aside 5 hours x 2 hours from 13th October.  This equals the 10 hours tithe of the hours of the week that some of us are spending at the candle light vigil.

++  We have our first farming community represented.  Esther is standing in the gap for Motu.

This area is inland somewhere between Gisborne and Opotiki.  Esther says, 'stick a pin on your map'.

++  We also have our first overseas sign up.  Annabel, who is volunteering in Israel, is praying for a major breakthrough in the heavenlies as a result of this time of prayer and fasting.

Finally - one of my nieces was putting her daughter to bed the other night and saw in the Spirit four

angels in silver on galloping silver horses with outstretched swords shouting, "We are the Righteousness of God".   She commented:  I feel they have been sent before this whole Whistle prayer campaign. Then she said, I've never had any problems with my printer until I had half printed your booklet!!

Eph 1:22  "And God placed all things under His feet and appointed Him to be head over EVERYTHING

for the church, which is His body, the fullnes of Him, who fills everything in every way."

May Jesus be all these over the next 40 days!

Blessings,

Sue Rowe
