WHISTLE
- Letter No 16
20 November, 2008
WHISTLE
· A branch of HealNZ 24/7 prayer, with a specific focus on prayer
regarding abortion in NZ.
· Announcing "FULL TIME" to abortion in NZ.
· Arranged
by Sue Rowe and The Whistle Team, coordinated from Hamilton.
·
"He lifts up a banner for the distant
nations, He whistles for those at the ends of the earth. Here they come swiftly and speedily!" (Is 5:26)
WHAT'S NEXT???
· It's
time for the army of Whistle intercessors across the nation to consider further action!
· It's
time for "Whistle 24/7 Abortion Prayer
Network"
NOW: I believe the Lord
is saying to establish a "Whistle 24/7 Abortion Prayer Network"
which will operate as a branch of HealNZ
24/7 prayer, initially for the year of 2009,
and
then be evaluated.
NEEDED: 168 army personnel,
(there are 168 hours in a week),
from across the nation,
who will commit (as far as they are able, God-willing)
to
praying for the same specific hour each week for a year,
day and night prayer,
with others if that suits you,
for the abortion issue,
building
on the 40 days we've just completed,
with specific topics sent out regularly by Whistle emails
beginning with two HealNZ newsletters Nov and Dec, first one attached.
EMAIL SUE: with the specific hour you are choosing to pray
with your phone number, and the city/town where you live
The hardest hours to fill will probably be:
·
Saturday afternoons, (if you are usually home Sat afternoons please consider an
hour then)
· each night 1-4am, (if you are usually awake some time between these hours please consider an hour then)
· Sunday 10am-noon. (if you attend
church at night only, please consider Sun a.m.)
Please encourage
others to be involved.
As promised below, in the
box, is a short history of the 24/7 prayer network I coordinate.
HealNZ 24/7 PRAYER This prayer network was formed
from a Breakthrough Conference, Feb 2000. Cindy Jacobs stressed the need to cover NZ with as much prayer as possible, preferably 24/7. In Hamilton we encouraged people to sign up to pray an hour
a week in their own home, the same
specific hour as much as possible. Soon
Pastor Mike Knott, who was coordinating this network nationally, extended our boundaries to cover Waikato and Coromandel. About
every 4-5 weeks I circulate a newsletter with a topic I feel the Lord is saying to pray into. This gives a focus, unity and encouragement to the 200+ involved. The Lord highlights a topic by bringing several bits of information about that topic
to my attention. It can be a one-off
topic, or a series. I tend to quote a
lot and try to weave these threads together. I give specific prayer points and encourage praying scripture and worship. In 2005 Mike felt the task
had been completed as there were 24-7 prayer rooms being established in several places throughout NZ. However, on seeking the Lord, I felt to continue what I was doing. I changed the name from NZPray to HealNZ. HealNZ describes the overall aim: healing to every aspect of
life in NZ. Cindy Jacobs said that if we would establish a prophetic prayer network there would come a time when there would be one voice in the nation. Over
the last few years, through several prayer journeys, and especially through the 40 days abortion focus, the tent pegs have shifted to cover the whole nation. NOW: if, rather than praying specifically for abortion, you would prefer to be part of the general 24/7 prayer of HealNZ by praying a specific one hour per week in your own home (or if you are willing to do both: abortion + general) PLEASE email me with your phone number and I will ring you to discuss your hour slot. |
WHAT'S
NEXT???
· "Liberty for the Unborn" www.libertyfortheunborn.net.nz
· a new website, a prayer initiative, just getting going
· coordinated by Craig Hill, Auckland, 021 746113
· Craig: "Through personal recommendation we can encourage and
ignite each other.
· We can change New Zealand's attitude from a culture of death to one of life."
· This idea was taking shape before we began our 40 days and will
now build on it.
I am continually
thanking my God for you all, for your specific input during the last 40 days.
What a blessing you have been to our nation!
What a blessing you have been to each other as we have seen how the Body can stand
together!
What a blessing you
have been to me with your encouragement and prayers!
Please continue to email me your comments to the questions asked in Whistle 15.
Please flood me with emails to join the Whistle 24/7 Abortion
Prayer Network.
May
God sovereignly protect each and every one of you and your family.
Blessings and THANK YOU,
Sue Rowe
