WHISTLE
- Letter No 17
25 November, 2008
WHISTLE
·
A branch of HealNZ 24/7 prayer, with
a specific focus on prayer regarding abortion in NZ.
·
Announcing "FULL TIME" to abortion
in NZ.
· Arranged by Sue Rowe and The Whistle Team, coordinated from Hamilton.
· "He lifts up a banner for the distant nations, He whistles for those at the ends
of the earth. Here they come swiftly and speedily!" (Is 5:26)
At the time of writing this email letter 14 people have signed up to pray an hour a week for abortion.
Several volunteered for Saturdays!
Keep those emails coming to me with the day and hour you have chosen to
pray.
Lorraine in Hamilton shared an encouraging vision.
During September I was listening to a song by Julie True called Breeze, and just soaking
in the Lord's presence.
to the words: "There's
a breeze blowing in my heart, for new places, new places.
You are taking me to
new places, there is a new wind blowing in my heart.
Open up the doors and let it come in, open up
the doors, let it blow.
There is a new wind that you are carrying me on, blow, blow, gentle
wind."
The Lord showed me a white tent with the
tent ropes pegged out all around. It was a large oval shaped tent with two of the front flaps rolled up. The Lord started to blow into the tent. His great love filled
the whole tent until I felt my heart would burst with
His love. As the breeze continued to blow, the tent roof and sides started to billow out almost like it was a hot air balloon. Then the tent pegs had to be moved outwards.
Many people helped to move the pegs. One person
at each peg. And still the breeze continued to blow and kept swelling the tent so that the pegs had to be moved outwards once again. The tent miraculously seemed to stretch
bigger and bigger. But the most
awesome thing
about it all was the sense of the Lord's love just swelling my heart more and more.
I now believe that this is what the Lord wants me to be involved in. (The Whistle 24/7
Abortion Prayer Network) He is saying that He will
enlarge my heart and the hearts of all those involved and He will take me to new places in the Spirit, in prayer, in NZ and all I have to do is open up the door and let His
love come in and that love is what will carry me to
pray for all that He wants for NZ and the people here.
(After Lorraine
read Whistle email letter 12, dated 30 October, where I wrote of the intercessory tent curtains having been stretched over the whole nation and the tent pegs being firmly in place, she
understood her vision.)
UN PETITION
Some of you have probably seen the email circulating for several
weeks now about the petition to the United Nations.
On Dec 10th,
radical pro-abortion groups will present petitions asking the UN General Assembly to make abortion an universally recognised human right.
A petition has been launched that calls for governments to interpret the Universal Declaration
of Human Rights as protecting the unborn child from
abortion.
Together with pro-life groups from around
the world these petitions will be presented at a press conference at UN headquarters.
If you have not signed the
petition and would like to, go to this Catholic website:

SOME FEEDBACK:
~ The
Waikato Times had a small report on 19th Nov "Birth Numbers Shoot Up"
"The first nine months of the year produced the highest number of recorded
births since 1962.
Statistics NZ
data showed there were 64,450 live births in the year to September."
Something has happened!!
~ The election result was a VERY clear majority for National. Let's keep praying.
~ A small team of us meet 8pm on 18th here in Hamilton and
declared the declaration as the final event for
the 40 days. At the same time two women stood on the
beach at Greymouth and a farmer's wife at Motu, and they also declared the declaration. I guess there were others through out the nation, but these are the only ones I have heard from.
~ Esther wrote: We have a kowhai tree outside our house. Every winter
it sheds its leaves, and in the early spring they start
to grow again. For the last few years it has been visited by a native wood pigeon, which has systematically stripped all the leaf buds and shoots. It took me a
while to realise this was happening and that the tree
could never flower because the wood pigeon was destroying the flower buds. After several years of hardly any flowers on the tree I declared serious war against the wood pigeon.
I discovered these birds can be quite territorial.
If I was diligent and persistent and consistent enough, chasing
it away every single time it came to our tree, then
after a while the message got through. It realised
that it was not allowed this particular tree. This one tree was not its territory any longer. Eventually it stopped trying so hard to kill all the baby leaves and flower buds.
From time to time it came back and checked things out,
but if we are on guard and chase it away with sticks
and stones, it doesn't come back in a hurry. Sometimes it sits in another tree at a distance and watches us, just to see if we are still guarding the tree. If we do, it won't
come down.
This year, thanks to our vigilence, the
tree had the best crop of flowers it has ever had. Currently it is
a bushy mass of green leaves and looks very healthy.
This
is a picture of what the enemy has been doing through abortion. It has taken us quite a while to realise that all the new growth has been stripped away. We
have declared serious war on Satan and have
attacked him with our 'sticks and stones' of prayer and declarations. He is getting the idea that this is no longer his territory. BUT he is hanging around
to see if we are vigilent in our guard. The
birth number stats mentioned above ties in with the best crop of flowers.
Once again I invite you to sign up for one hour of prayer a week
- to use your sticks and stones to keep the
enemy at bay. If we back off he will be back! He will not easily give up his territory. He doesn't go on holiday.
Blessings,
Sue Rowe
