Here they come swiftly and speedily."  Isaiah 5:26

                     WHISTLE 24/7 PRAYER: LETTER 1 ~ 25 Nov '08

First I want to thank you again for signing up to pray an hour a week for the abortion issue, thus building on the 40 days and keeping the spiritual pressure on the issue, keeping the spiritual offensive on the principalities and powers.

Even if only part of the week is covered there will be more prayer going up consistently than before!

So - now that you have chosen your day and hour, please begin.

Please endeavour to keep your hour as best you can.  We all forget, or have an emergency, or a decent interruption from time to time or we are sick.  Praying a hedge around your hour, God's protection, His alarm clock to remind you, and so on, are all helpful.  All I expect of you is to do the best you can.  Please do not come under condemnation at all.

If you are able to fast in some way on the day you pray that would give added weight to the prayer.

Psalm 37 is the key scripture:

We are looking to, expecting to, 'inherit the land of the abortion issue'.

To assist this to occur there are several key things listed in this psalm that we are to do.

Pray for these key things.

For the first few weeks I am encouraging you to pray the HealNZ newsletter I have attached again, which features Ps 37.

Humility is such an important topic and as God gives grace to the humble, we need to continue to develop this characteristic within ourselves.

Therefore, praying for yourself and others involved in this 24/7 initiative, for humility, is important.

SOME OTHER WAYS TO FILL YOUR HOUR:

·         Worship - I don't mind if you spend your hour doing that.  I place a high priority on worship.

·         Pray for the cities/towns you signed up for, and/or adopted, during the 40 days.

·         Pray for an extended period using you spiritual language.

·         Begin to keep a file of these prayer letters so you can look back and pray again some points.

·         Refer to sections in the 40 days prayer booklet e.g. consequences and effects, and pray them again.

·         Refer to the Whistle website, and pray e.g. items from the prayer reports section.

·         Read/declare aloud, and pray specific portions of scripture.

·         Pray for others who have signed up, and for all the gaps to be taken; for power and authority to be loosed.

God will speak to you!

I am expecting God to show those involved in this 24/7 some of the issues on His heart that He is requiring us to pray.

Please let me know what you believe are such issues, and any specific ways to pray about these - scriptures, or draft a declaration or prayer we can all pray.

This morning I prayed Ephesians 1:16-23 for those involved in this 24/7 network.  There is a glorious inheritance for us - the land of the abortion issue!  I appointed Him to be head over everything related to this 24/7 prayer, that He may fill everything in every way, with His Holy Spirit.

Blessings,

Sue Rowe
