SECTION 1:

Below is some information from Rick Joyner as he spoke at a conference in Israel about 2004.

“Possibly the worst curse that was promised to come upon Israel if they turned from the Lord was that they would eat their own young.  To me, that was the very worst. 

I submit to you that church history is full of the church eating its own young.  That is an ultimate sign of depravity.  We keep trying to pass laws about abortion, but the laws of nature have already been passed.  Most beasts would gladly sacrifice their own lives to protect their own young; yet, we see in humanity our easy willingness to sacrifice our own young.  The greatest threat to the new purposes of God that are being born in the Church, has come from the Church itself; the Church devouring its own young.

A number of years ago, when I was in a hotel room in New York and was caught up in the presence of the Lord, He showed me His anger toward abortion.  He hates abortion.  He said He was not nearly as angry with the heathen for their abortions in the natural, as He was with His Church, because we continue to abort the seed that He was planting, seed to bring forth new ministries, new outreaches, and new churches.  If the Church did not abort that seed the world would not be living in such darkness that it aborts its own young.

He said we are aborting the seeds that He was planting in us for all the same reasons that the heathen abort their natural seed; it comes at an inconvenient time.  These children are going to be expensive.  They are going to require sacrifice on our part.

How many of those young girls would not be having abortions if we had responded to God when He moved upon us to go witness to that girl when she was young?  But we aborted those seeds.

PRAYER POINTS:

• Judgment begins with the household of God.  Repent for the ways you have personally aborted God’s plans and purposes for your life.  Align your life with His plan.
• Repent for ways you have been involved in aborting the seed in your own Church and your city, seed that would have brought forth new ministries, new outreaches, and new churches – through passivity, jealousy, wrong mindset, pride, fear, self-righteousness, actively praying against the idea/key people, etc.  Pray about the consequences and effects. Pray blessing on the people and the new churches and ministries that you know about.
• Bring before the Lord other new ministries etc you are aware of in NZ that have been aborted at some stage of their development, pray into the resulting consequences and effects.
• Pray God’s protection over every step of the process of the establishment of the new purposes/visions of God in NZ, that each of His initiatives would reach maturity and be a blessing to our nation; that those He has called to be involved will be willing to invest time and money into this ‘new child’.
• Pray that from this point on the devouring of our spiritual young will cease.

SECTION 2:

Aborting of the process of reaching spiritual maturity and the information needed by believers.  Often the information given dilutes or muddies the Word of God thus aborting growth:

Salvation – Eph 2:1-10

Apostolic Order – Eph 2:20-22, 4:11-13

Discipleship – Eph 4:17- 5:21

Intimacy – Eph 1:17-19, 3:14-21

Holiness – Eph 1:4, 5:27

Unity – Eph 1:10, 2:14-18, 4:1-16

Spiritual Warfare – Eph 3:10-11, 6:10-18

SECTION 3:

Israel

• Pray for God’s plans and purposes for the Messianic Jewish Fellowships in Israel, that the seeds that are designed for growth of this movement will not be aborted but that they will come to maturity.  Pray the Ephesian scriptures from Section 2 above.
• Pray 2:14-18 Jew and Gentile becoming One New Man, and 3:6.  NIV note 3:6 “The repetition of ‘together’ (3x), indicates the unique aspect of the mystery that was not previously known: the equality and mutuality that Gentiles had with Jews in the church, the one body.  That Gentiles would turn to the God of Israel and be saved was prophesied in the OT (see Rom 15:9-12); that they would come into an organic unity with believing Jews on an equal footing was unexpected.”
• Pray that the Biblical understanding of Israel that believers in NZ need to embrace will not be aborted.  Pray that accurate information will be preached, taught, written.
