Court Case: 12-13 May, Court of Appeal, Wellington

##  Refer to Prayer Points in previous Whistle prayer letters – especially Law and Justice, Government and Media, as we bring the second round of prayer to these arenas.

SECTION ONE:

In the Prayer Alert I noted that Right to Life is seeking to have the Court of Appeal overturn the decision of Justice Miller from the June ’08 case, to deny the status of the unborn child as a person entitled to receive the protection of the Bill of Rights Act.

Under current legislation the unborn child does not become a human being until it is born.

PRAYER POINTS:

1.       We really need to under gird this particular topic with prayer.  Recognising that life begins at conception, and enshrining this in law would be a miracle, such a witness to the whole world.  “Could anything good come out of NZ???”  Using the miracle where Jesus turned the water into wine at the wedding (Jn 2:1-11) let’s pray, frequently:

Lord Jesus Christ, you are the miracle worker.  We see that “cheaper wine”, representing all the lies and deception, consequences and effects of abortion, has been given to the nation of NZ up until now.  We have drunk the cheap wine and become drunk with our own power to take lives through abortion, mess up families and bring judgment of God on our nation.  But now, we declare we have filled the “six stone jars” representing the six arenas we have prayed into so far – Church, Family, Law & Justice, Government, Health and Media – with the water of the Word of God.  During the month of May and the time of this Court Case, we draw this “best wine” out of these jars and as we do so we ask you Jesus, The Miracle Worker, to “reveal your glory” to NZ.

2.       Declare aloud Ps 119.  This psalm is all about laws, decrees, statutes, etc.  You might like to take 5 sections each week during May, directing the truth over this Court Case and the weeks following, over the deliberations and decisions of the judges, and all associated with them.  It could be several weeks before the judges’ decisions are made public.

3.       Pray for the Truth, the best wine, to “hem them in – behind and before; for Jesus, the Way, the Truth and the Life to lay His hand upon them.  That they will not be able to flee from His Spirit, His presence; that His hand will guide them and hold them fast.” (Ps 139:5-10)

4.       Pray that, as the 40 page submission in support of the personhood of the unborn child is read, every word will go up to the throne of God and effect change in the spiritual realm – as it is in heaven let it be so on earth.

KEY VERSE:  “Lord, grant NZ justice against our adversary.”  Luke 18:3

·         Pray that the process of justice through the courts, government and Abortion Supervisory Committee, will not be aborted at any time, by any person, in any way; that all pertinent information will be revealed, understood and acted upon; that God will align ALL things, people and procedures, and prepare the way for the judgments that will be given as a result of 12-13 May.

·         Pray for God to dismantle the mindsets that would obstruct, delay, not comprehend the process of justice.  Pray Romans 12:2.

·         “Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and just are your judgments.” Rev 16:7

WORSHIP and exalt God, The one Lawgiver and Judge who is able to save and destroy, The Judge who is standing at the door, Jesus Christ the Righteous One, the Glorious Father.

5.       Declare Life scriptures, e.g.: Ps 139:13-17; Jn 10:10; Is 58:6

SECTION TWO:

PRAYER POINTS:

6.       Pray for God-given power and authority to be released, unhindered by anything in heaven or on earth; that the declaration we will use will go forth and accomplish all that God has purposed; that we will have corporate humility resulting in true unity so our prayers are effective; that at all times we will have discernment and wisdom and know what God is requiring us to pray, and/or do, to assist the judicial process, to bring His Kingdom; we will have divine strength and staying power.

7.       Pray that as we fast, the demonic power from occultic agents, from witchcraft activity, prayers and sacrifices, that seeks to disrupt the court case and return a pro-abortion verdict, will be nullified, rendered powerless, and have no effect; that all occultic agents will have no power or authority over any of those involved in the court case, or the building or grounds, or of the court case.   Ask God to forgive those who are engaging in such activity.
