Second Time Line: MARGARET
SANGER and PLANNED PARENTHOOD The same woman who lent me the Kinsey book also lent me “Grand Illusions, The Legacy of Planned Parenthood”
by George Grant, (a Christian), pub 1998. It’s 400 pages long and follows Margaret Sanger’s
life and how she birthed Planned Parenthood in USA. Like Kinsey, she has had an amazing influence on NZ
through Family Planning. I have summarized some of the main points in eight pages and can email this to you. Let me know. Some information below is
from www.abortion.org.nz Below is a briefer summary
so you can get the picture. Like last time, there is a lengthy series of points, (most directly from the
book), to declare and pray to separate NZ from Sanger’s legacy. Remember to pray protection over yourself and your loved ones. MARGARET SANGER: Born 1879, died 1966, aged 87. She was sixth of 11 children.
Her father was, by all accounts, an irresponsible man who didn’t care that his large family were often cold,
hungry, and suffered other deprivations. He was a radical socialist and his family were shunned and isolated
by the community. Sanger once described her family life as being “joyless and filled with drudgery
and fear”. Her mother was a devout Catholic. She hid her spiritual activities
from her husband. Margaret, baptised and confirmed, had her early beliefs ridiculed and smothered by her
father’s scorn. By the time she was 17 she had totally turned against Christ and the Church with
a hatred that lasted her entire life. She left home and with wild freedom moved into radical politics, suffragette feminism and unfettered
sex. She tried kindergarten teaching and nursing. She married William Sanger, who had some money and who tried lots of ways to satisfy his wife’s
passions and restlessness. They had three children. They attended political meetings
and soon she plunged headlong into a maelstrom of rebellion and revolution, meeting foremost radicals of the day.
She told William she needed emancipation from every taint of Christianized capitalism including the strict bonds of
the marriage bed. William took her for an extended holiday! Margaret joined various
groups that debated various issues. Her topic was always sex, free love, sexual freedom. Mabel Dodge said:
“She was a Madonna type of woman. It was as if she had been chosen by the powers that be to
voice a new gospel of not only sex knowledge in regard to conception…..She personally set out to rehabilitate sex.” William took her away to France
where he studied art and she studied the advanced contraceptive methods available. She left him there.
On returning
to America she published a paper called The Woman Rebel. She was charged with publishing lewd and indecent
articles. Conviction was almost certain. Before leaving for England with a forged passport,
she designed a lurid contraband leaflet on contraception called Family Limitation. It was meant to outrage
postal authorities and titillate the masses. It was dangerously inaccurate. Friends printed and distributed
100,000 copies. During her year in England
she immersed herself in Malthusianism. She met some key people e.g. Havelock Ellis, author of 50 books
on every aspect of sex. He also experimented with drugs, and established a network of homosexual encounters.
He and Sanger thoroughly mapped out a strategy and agenda for her cause. He told her to tone down
the pro-abortion stance, to use philanthropic-sounding themes of Malthus and Eugenics. She set out for America “with a demonic
determination to alter the course of Western Civilisation.” The legal charges were faced but a public support campaign for her forced authorities to drop them. Later she spent 30 days in
a workhouse on the charge of distributing obscene material and the prescription of dangerous medical procedures. A daughter died. Sanger’s
later second marriage was to a millionaire but only after she insisted on complete freedom to do as she pleased, no questions
asked, with her own private apartment to entertain her own lovers. She was rich but unhappy, involved in
occult, drugs and alcohol. Gradually she spent much of his money on her activities. |
PLANNED PARENTHOOD: Planned Parenthood had its beginnings Oct 16, 1916 when Margaret, one of her sisters, and a friend, opened
a clinic in Brooklyn, New York. The first name was the American Birth Control League. There
were several names changes: Birth Control Federation of America in 1939, then Planned Parenthood Federation of America in
1942. Right from the beginning she
cultivated a broad following. Money poured in and influential names were listed in the magazine she produced,
The Birth Control Review. There was also severe criticism e.g. Rev Billy Sunday. By
1922 her fame and fortune was unshakeably secure. She had won several key legal battles, co-ordinated an
international conference on birth control and gone on a very successful round-the-world lecture tour. One
of her numerous books was an instant best seller. Diaphragms were smuggled in from Holland. She campaigned to win over the medical community.
Massive funds were secured from Rockefeller, Ford and Mellon and with these almost unlimited resources she was able
to open doors and pull strings that had been entirely inaccessible before. She fought a public relations
campaign to redeem her reputation, testified before several congressional committees, openly endorsed the euthanasia, sterilization,
abortion and infanticide programme of the Reich but once WW2 started and the Nazi programmes came to light she had to cover
up her position. Sanger set about amalgamating
hundreds of local and regional birth control groups under PP’s wing. In 1948 an interim group was formed called the
International Committee on Planned Parenthood (ICPP). The Brush Foundation for Race Betterment, USA made
an initial grant of $5,000 to enable it to establish a HQ in London with rent-free accommodation by the Eugenics Society. ICPP established contacts
with family planning organizations in over 20 countries. In 1952 the ICPP sponsored an International Conference on Planned Parenthood in Bombay, India. ICPP
was replaced with International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF). The founding nations were: Netherlands,
Hong Kong, India, Singapore, Sweden, UK, USA and West Germany. The headquarters are in London. Now over 180 nations have IPPF
programmes and activities. Despite being a Western organisation IPPF has a powerful influence on non-Western
cultures. They
work closely with voluntary, inter-governmental and UN agencies who are also committed to abortion rights in general e.g.
UN Population Fund, UN Children’s Fund, World Health Organisation and the World Bank. The IPPF mission is to “support women’s reproductive
rights, (generally acknowledged as including abortion) both at the national, advocacy level and, at the individual level,
by focusing on quality of care in the provision of family planning services specifically designed to meet women’s needs.” Financial support comes from more than 20
governments, private foundations and individuals. IPPF’s Strategic Framework 2005-15 is
meant to guide the institution in its pursuit of the “unfinished business of sexual and reproductive health”.
The five priorities are: adolescents, HIV/AIDS, abortion, access and advocacy. Regarding abortion IPPF’s goal is “A
universal recognition of a woman’s right to choose and have access to safe abortion.” This
could imply that governments are obligated to pay for abortions, train doctors and set up abortion clinics. IPPF vows to continue its
abortion “advocacy with governments, politicians, judiciary, health professionals and opinion leaders to recognize,
protect and fulfil these rights – whether through legalization or decriminalization.” They intend, as the world’s largest
abortion provider, to increase its own “provision of abortion services to the fullest extent permitted by law, with
special attention to young women and under-served and marginalized groups.” Abortion will be provided
to adolescent girls as part of its “comprehensive youth-friendly high quality services.” They intend to tie the current UN development initiative
called the Millennium Development Goals, to reproductive rights, even though those goals do not explicitly mention reproductive
rights, but so they can tap into development monies and achieve a greater allocation of resources. They promise to reduce religious barriers,
to analyze opposition messages and tactics and respond. |
PRAYER POINTS: George Grant: “Abortion, promiscuity, racism, greed, and deception are as ancient as mankind.
They did not spring up full blown when the abortion laws were passed, or in 1916 with Sanger and Planned Parenthood.
They will probably continue to plague us even after Roe v Wade is overturned and Planned Parenthood’s
(PP) aims are vanquished. An organisation’s ‘head’ defines the character and vision of that organisation. A
Biblical principle is that of legacy and inheritance. A seed will always yield of its kind.
PP is
little more than an institutional incarnation of Sanger’s faith….It’s profound influence, vast resources
and hardened dogma, make it now more than ever among the world’s most significant force for ill… The cure is
the gospel.” Today, I separate myself,
my family, my church, the whole Body of Christ, Family Planning, and the nation of NZ from v Margaret Sanger, her anti-Christ and anti-Church hatred, her pain arising from her fatherless
childhood; her title “Champion of Birth Control”; all her research, beliefs, teachings, rebellion, lawlessness,
lies, distortions, manipulation, sexual promiscuity and experimentation, premarital fornication, approval of homosexuality;
her dabbling in the occult, her drug and alcohol addictions; her identification with various cults through acceptance of their
tenants and the practicing of their ethics (especially Cathari, Rosicrucian and Unity), her smuggling of illegal (at that
time) goods and deception to cover up; her views that marriage is a “degenerate institution”; her continual push
for the liberalisation of contraceptive prescription laws, abortion laws; her numerous violations of American laws, publishing
and distributing contraband, lurid material; the “corporate memory of Sanger as a courageous reformer” and the
honour given her by some American Presidents and the admiration and respect given her by virtually all America. v The support given by, and unholy ties with, powerful organisations especially the Rockefeller Foundation,
Ford, Mellon; governmental bodies, media, lawyers which gave her unusual political clout. The way taxpayers’
money was/is funnelled to establish and expand PP programmes. v The name Planned Parenthood which “connoted a positive programme and conveyed a clean, wholesome, family-orientated
image and diverted attention from the internal and revolutionary intentions of the movement, focusing instead on personal
dimensions of birth control.” Thus it misrepresented the facts about its lucrative birth control,
sex education and abortion enterprises. v Her unholy
ties with Havelock Ellis, the strategy and agenda, the demonic determination to alter the course of Western civilisation;
the undermining of the authority of the Christian Church and Biblical Christianity; her ‘new gospel’ regarding
sex, her goal to ‘rehabilitate sex’. v The
dire prophecies given 1925 at an int birth control conference (promoted by Sanger) re world population and the decision to
embark on a “course of drastic action”, to act outside the law as part of the process to bring change; “legal
access to unrestricted abortion was a high priority”. v The
American decriminalisation of abortion in 1973, in large part due to Sanger; the growth of the abortion industry with all
its strands, health hazards, concealed disasters and deaths; back alley abortionists employed by PP; the view that abortion
is only recreational surgery. v
Her connections with and $2m financial support from
1950 for those developing The Pill, the unprecedented media blitz and political lobbying resulting in full approval in 1960,
leading to 10m women using The Pill within 10 years. Her promotion of IUD, the introduction of this early
1960s leading to 60m women using it in a few years, the many difficulties and dangers associated with IUDs. The
use of products before testing was completed and complications fully known. v PPs claim to be at the forefront of the battle against STD but it is part of the problem through encouraging
‘unsafe’ sexual practices which spread STDs through irresponsible promiscuity. v The PP style of sex education which breaks down sexual inhibitions, undermines sexual values, incites
youngsters, uses crude four-letter words; endorses homosexuality, masturbation, fornication, incest and even bestiality, and
describes such behaviour; sanctions sex before marriage; betrays parental and community trust, separates children from parents.
The use of programmes and materials that are designed to change minds, morals and motivations of an entire generation,
to reshape positions, perspectives, and personalities of children everywhere. The recruiting of students
in schools to participate and lead the programmes run out of school clinics. The imbalance between recreational sex and procreation
through sex. |
v The targeting of inner-city minority groups by placing community-based and/or
school-based clinics in those neighbourhoods, initially for contraception services, then abortion services; the employing
of key charismatic coloured personnel to attract and educate such groups of these ‘needs’; the abortion holocaust
with stats out of proportion to the actual population; the eugenics ideal of eliminating the ‘asses of degenerate’
and ‘good-for-nothing’ races; the banner of sterilization, linking this to welfare payments; the rapid increase
of hysterectomies now ranking in America with abortion as two of the most frequently performed surgical procedures. v The ‘Balack-type strategy’ Sanger adopted to woo ambitious young ministers
to sit on her boards, the way racists, liberals, and compromisers were targeted; the various way churches cooperated with
PP e.g. lent property, sponsored conferences. v
PPs “morbid fascination with death and barrenness”
and the way the medical profession has embraced this; the abuse of medicine e.g. foetal harvesting, genetic manipulation,
etc. v The way the media has filtered PP activities ensuring some information doesn’t
get printed, but their worldview, values, and bias is imposed on their audience/readers; the way virtually every new campaign,
strategy, ploy of PP has been launched via the media; the way the distinction between news and truth has been erased so news
is accepted as truth, and the media has become a truth maker rather than a newsmaker. v The unholy links with abortion-provider Marie Stopes Int and Women’s Link Worldwide and their
strategic litigation against laws protecting life globally, their funding and teachings. v The unholy links with the Third Reich and its race purification programmes, Nazi Medical Experimentation
programme and Hitler’s White Supremacist rhetoric; her support of eugenics, euthanasia, sterilization, abortion and
infanticide programmes. The supposedly reversal of her position regarding these once the Nazi WW2 programmes
were made public. v
The IPPF Strategic Framework (see page 2 for points
to pray re this) v
The laundering of funds and deception concerning their
true use. v
The IPPF slogan “Proud of our Past – Planning
our Future” REPENT and DECLARE: v Heavenly Father I repent for the way I and my family, The Church, Family Planning, and the nation
of NZ have embraced Sanger’s thinking. We are sorry for being so blind, so deaf, and so unable to
speak out. We are sorry for aligning with that prevailing worldview. Forgive us our
sins. Fill us with your Spirit and empower us to turn around and once again embrace fully and follow completely,
your moral truths as set out in the Bible. Empower us to permanently separate from, and leave behind, every
legacy and inheritance of Sanger’s and fully embrace every aspect of the gospel of the good news of Jesus Christ.
Rom 12:2 v We call forth the Body of Christ in NZ to rise up in Godly character and stand
for truth regardless of the cost; to support existing pro-life ministries, to ‘divorce’ themselves from, and offer
alternatives to, Family Planning, to help girls in crisis, to strengthen families, protect mothers and care for widows and
children, to meet the need for adoption as an option. Floodgates of heaven open to fund the initiatives. To use every tactic available
to us within the system and law (wise appeal, lawyer delay, lobbying, legislative reform, suffering servant-hood and public
protest) before civil disobedience. To carry out our God-given prophetic and priestly functions. To be completely pro-life and not just anti-abortion;
stand for light, life, loveliness and liberty. v
We call upon God to raise up courageous people who
will investigate and expose the legacy of PP in USA, and IPPF, who will ensure justice is done, and that which needs to be
dismantled and permanently closed down is, and another is not raised up from its ashes. For pro-life advocates to be sovereignly moved
into positions of authority and influence in the various foundations and organisations in NZ that currently fund Family Planning’s
activities, to uncover, question, and promote the Biblical mandate. v Pray:
2 Cor 6:14-18; Rev 17:1-19:10. Build yourself up by reading e.g. Ps 103. |
Please remember Israel and pray concerning their
Family Planning type organisation. Blessings, Sue Rowe
